Evaluation Principles, Performance Measures For Microsoft...
Cybersecurity policy was evaluated for Microsoft Corporation and their corresponding products and services based on completeness, compliance, and ability to prevent critical infrastructure failure. Research and evaluation presents policy strengths and weaknesses, then recommended changes discussed. Evaluation criteria of the cybersecurity policy identified include; critical infrastructure system recovery efforts, data protection and privacy, national policy efforts, and compliance and regulatory standards. Within the evaluation principles, performance measures for preventing system failure and maintaining resiliency are presented in qualitative measure. Introduction to Microsoft Products, Services, and Offerings Microsoft (MS) has grown exponentially to expand their service offerings and target customers in the last 5-7 years. In 1975, Bill Gates released the first Microsoft products placing focus on system hardware and applications. IBM delivered the disk operating system (DOS) and it contributed to the companyââ¬â¢s success and in the 1980s, Bill partnered with IBM to reach a larger hardware market. At the time, the microcomputer market was Microsoftââ¬â¢s top revenue producer. Eventually that paved the way for the Windows operating system and in the 1990s captured the market with their unique innovation.
